Mount Washington Parking Deck

By adding a parking deck to an existing surface lot on a very steeply sloped site, this project succeeded in connecting a business district on one street with a new supermarket and senior center around the corner and down the hill. Highlighting the connection is a prominent staircase covered by a unique steel canopy nicknamed "The Tree" for its branch-like columns and supports.
