Pfaffmann + Associates designed the expansion and renovation of the Boyce Residence in Rhode Island from a 1700 square foot, 1960s prefab house into a 3900 square foot updated, flexible vacation home. The client desired both a summer house for extended family gatherings as well as a private, year-round home for retirement. The solution was to create upper and lower apartments unified by a light-filled entry hall.
